The Obelisk Gate
Much less gratuitous sex/gender bending than the first but still some off color comments that added absolutely nothing to the story or any character arc. This time the book is hurt by strange narrating voice changes and occasional rambling (possibly awkward foreshadowing?) The end of the book seems extremely unclear and not in a good cliffhanger kind of way. I debated to give 4 stars but the more I consider it, the more I find I have no real interest in how the story ends so it is max a 3 star book to me.
